Meet William L. Silvaneus
Bio: When William Silvaneus was a boy, his Grandma Cole told him a story from her childhood about the label Gypsy. That story and her example set him on a quest to discover the human behind every label. So for over 52-years, William has worked to smash labels. He has learned how to free people from the constraints negative dehumanized labels impose internally and externally.
In a world where labeling people helps us hide from their humanity, this quest has led to work and leadership with the homeless, legal and undocumented immigrants, the addicted, the elderly, refugees, and poor people across the divides of age, race, ethnicity, and class. Recently he has learned how we can change our labels at the root source, our brain, and turn ideas into real, tangible change.
